I have been doing rugby for 4 years and I love it! Rugby is my favourite sport because you can be rough with people! My club is Nelson Bay gropers and we play every Saturday. We play Becolben this week. Rugby has some of the buffest players. My favourite team is the Waratahs and of course the Wallabies!

This term we have been learning about natural disasters. That’s why we have done a speech on them, our speeches could be about any natural disaster. That’s why I am going to talk you about my speech. My speech was about Pompeii, Pompeii was hit by one of the most dangerous disasters in the world, a volcano. Pompeii was hit by tons of ash, lava and gale force winds. After the disaster all that was left was remains of bodies, plants and buildings. That’s what I know about this natural disasters. MuM or Murder Under the Microscope is a game on the Internet for schools who want a challenge. MuM tries to set a crime against an animal or plant that is endangered and you try to find out what is killing it. There is a crime site, a victim and a villain which are made for you to research and select. We can’t do this with out clues, that’s why the people from catchment headquarters (were they create the clues) give us weekly clues on what the answer is. The people who give you the clues are Danno, Jodie and Dr Aj. After you have an idea on what you think the victim, villain and crime site are you can put in the accusations and see if you are right.

What I have learnt about bloggingPosted by kane in Uncategorized, tags: what I have learnt about blogingI have only started blogging last term and I have learnt so much. I have learnt about widgets which are my favourite blogging tool, and also about internet safety. I have learnt about making posts and finding interesting things to write about. A blog gives you a way to express yourself which is great. There isn’t just boring old themes, there are themes with colour and expression, making it a great way to talk and share your work with other people. An O.C is a special class of which you try out for. O.C stands for opportunity class. In the class you get lots of great opportunities. I would know what’s in an O.C because I’m in one. My O.C is at Soldiers Point Public School. The favorite thing I love about the O.C is you get all your work for the whole term in one folder and you can do it whenever you like. I hope you enjoy my blog. Creative commons is really the opposite of copy write. This means you can take someone’s photo and use it in your own blog. One thing is you have to give them credit though. There are many different types of creative commons like you can let people use your photo but they can’t change it in any way. There is lots more ways but I’ve just showed you one . Maybe you can go and explore more yourself . This is just another post from Kane, bye. This week our School has had a author visit us. This author was Michael Gerard Bauer. He has written several books like ‘Don’t Call Me Ishmael’, ‘The Running Man’ and ‘Dinosaur Knights’. I personally found him very interesting. He showed us about sentence structure and creative words. Around the end of the lesson we also wrote our own story. We also worked on creating beginings for sentences. Overall the author was great! This is just another post from Kane. Bye. Celebrating Mother’s Day is celebrating the love of mothers around the world. Mothers are people that you can talk to without being embarrassed. What would you do without your mum? I know that it would be hard on people who don’t have mothers. That’s why we should celebrate Mother’s Day. Getting along is something you should use in everyday life. Well, you do use it in everyday life, you just may not notice it. For example when you are talking to some friends that’s getting along. Can you imagine a world without getting along? There would be so much war and fighting that there wouldn’t be friends or family. That’s why we should always use getting along. If you don’t already know, getting along is part of YCDI which stands for You Can Do It. That shows you the 5 different ways to success, these ways are confidence, organisation, persistence, emotional resilience and getting along. This is just another post from Kane, bye! A good teacher is someone who is friendly in getting to know the students. A good teacher knows when to help a student do their work. A good teacher knows when it is time to have some fun. A teacher should also have a good relationship with all students. I think that makes a great teacher. |
